I worked hard to make many pretty layouts for this fanlisting. Some are from popular series, some are from little known and underappreciated series, and most were made with special people in mind. :)
Skin 1 features an image of Princess Serenity from Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon by Takeuchi Naoko. I've always adored this image so when considering a BSSM image, immediately went with this one. In my humble opinion, what shoujo fanlisting would be complete without a BSSM skin? Many people got their start with shoujo manga and anime thanks to this series. This skin was made with Danielle in mind.
Skin 2 features an image from the series Koi Monogatari (Love Story) by Saitou Chiho. When planning a Saitou Chiho skin, I wanted to use an image from a series that was not all that well known. It was especially made with Lenneth in mind.
Skin 3 features an image from the series Renai Catalogue (Love Catalogue) by Nagata Masami. Renai Catalogue is an adorable (and rather long) shoujo series that doesn't get much love, but should! I love spreading the word about little known and underappreciated shoujo series plus I just adore this image (which comes from an official wallpaper).
Skin 4 features an image of Kusakabe Maron/Kaitou Jeanne from Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne by Tanemura Arina (my favorite series by her). It is from volume five of the new Perfect Edition Tankoubon releases. Scan is by Danielle and is yet another nod to her and Lenneth (who first got Danielle into Tanemura; KKJ is Lenneth's favorite Tanemura series as well). :)
Skin 5 features an image from the series Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (HanaKimi, For You in Full Blossom) by Hisaya Nakajo. I suppose this fanlisting wouldn't be complete without a shoujo series that featured crossdressing of some kind. xD HanaKimi is a pretty popular (and yet again long) shoujo series. This skin is a nod to Kris. I couldn't consider this fanlisting complete without a layout skin in her honor. I'm sure she'll know why. ^^
Skin 6 features an image of Trapnest from the Nana anime by Yazawa Ai. Nana has become a huge shoujo phenomena and is really popular. I personally love the series (no one knows how to emotionally kill her readers quite like Yazawa). This skin serves two purposes. First, it's my token anime skin. Second, it's a shout out to Janice, my shoujo partner in crime. She actually requested a skin from another series, but I had trouble finding good scans of it. Since we fangirl Nana all the time, I figured she wouldn't mind too much if this was her special layout. :)
Skin 7 features images of Zero, Kaname, and Yuuki from Vampire Knight by Hino Matsuri. Vampire Knight is a pretty shoujo series about angsty vampires. What isn't there to love? This skin was made with Marie (who is also one of my partners in crime) in mind.
Skin 8 features an image of Aya, Aki, Yuuhi, and Tooya from Ayashi no Ceres (Ceres, Celestial Legend) by Watase Yuu. This skin was made purely for my enjoyment and satisfaction. Watase is one of my two most favorite shoujo manga-ka and Ayashi no Ceres is my favorite series by her.
Skin 9 features an image of the members of Lucifer (Sakuya, Yuki, Towa, and Asturo) and Aine from Kaikan Phrase (Sensual Phrase) by Shinjo Mayu. This is again a skin made for my enjoyment. Shinjo is the Queen of Shoujo Smut and my other favorite shoujo manga-ka. Kaikan Phrase is my favorite series by her.
Skin 10 is my ode to awesome but underappreicated or little known shoujo series.
